Online Therapy in Florida

Compassionate, practical online therapy—wherever you are in Florida.

Life can look completely manageable from the outside while feeling very different on the inside.

Maybe you’re keeping up with work, family, relationships, and everything that needs to get done—but your mind never really shuts off. Maybe your child or teen is struggling with anxiety, ADHD, big emotions, behavior, school, or changes at home. Or perhaps something in your life has changed and the strategies that used to work just aren’t working anymore.

At Haven of Healing for Youth & Families, we provide online therapy for Florida residents who want more than a place to talk. We help you understand what’s happening, recognize the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies you can use in your everyday life.

Online appointments available throughout Florida.

You Don’t Have to Wait Until Things Feel Unmanageable

Sometimes you know something needs to change—you’re just not sure what that change needs to be.

Therapy isn’t only for a crisis.

You may be functioning, working, parenting, maintaining relationships, and taking care of everyone around you while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, distracted, disconnected, or stuck.

For children and teens, struggles may look different. You may notice difficulty focusing, emotional outbursts, withdrawal, school problems, anxiety, changes in behavior, family conflict, or difficulty adjusting to changes at home.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy.

Sometimes the first step is simply understanding what’s getting in the way.

How Online Therapy Can Help

Therapy should help you understand yourself—not make you feel like something is wrong with you.

Our therapists work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing concerns such as:

Anxiety & Overthinking

Constant worrying, second-guessing, perfectionism, difficulty relaxing, feeling on edge, anticipating what could go wrong, or becoming overwhelmed by everyday decisions.

ADHD & Executive Functioning

Difficulty getting started, procrastination, organization, time management, forgetfulness, focus, emotional regulation, follow-through, and feeling frustrated because knowing what needs to happen doesn’t always make doing it easier.

Depression, Grief & Loss

Low motivation, sadness, emotional exhaustion, disconnection, loss of interest, grief, and difficulty adjusting when life no longer looks the way you expected.

Trauma & PTSD

Past experiences can continue influencing emotions, relationships, boundaries, trust, safety, and the way your nervous system responds long after the experience itself has ended.

Stress, Burnout & Major Life Changes

Career changes, relationship changes, parenting stress, separation or divorce, caregiving responsibilities, relocation, changing family roles, menopause/midlife transitions, and periods when everything seems to be happening at once.

Children, Teens & Family Challenges

Anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, school difficulties, changing family dynamics, parenting challenges, communication difficulties, and stressful transitions.

Relationship & Family Stress

Communication problems, boundaries, recurring conflict, changing roles, disconnection, parenting differences, and patterns that leave everyone feeling frustrated or misunderstood.

Therapy That Fits Real Life

Because one size doesn’t fit everyone.

We don’t expect you—or your child—to fit neatly into one therapeutic approach.

Therapy at Haven of Healing is individualized around your needs, goals, experiences, strengths, relationships, and what is actually happening in your life.

Our clinicians draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches while focusing on something equally important: Does this make sense to you, and can you actually use it outside of therapy?

That may mean understanding why anxiety keeps showing up, recognizing a trauma response, developing ADHD-friendly systems instead of trying harder at systems that don’t work, practicing boundaries, improving communication, learning emotional regulation skills, or identifying patterns within relationships and families.

Online Therapy From the Comfort of Your Own Space

For many people, getting to therapy is one more thing to fit into an already busy day.

Telehealth allows you to meet with your therapist privately from home or another appropriate location without commuting to an office.

Your sessions are conducted through secure video technology, allowing you and your therapist to meet face-to-face online.

Online therapy can also make ongoing treatment easier to incorporate around work, school, parenting, caregiving, and other responsibilities.

And because Haven is an online practice, telehealth isn’t something we added as an afterthought—it is a central part of how we provide care.

The goal isn’t simply to feel better during your appointment. It’s to develop understanding and skills that continue helping when the session ends.

Florida Telehealth Information

Haven of Healing for Youth & Families, clinicians provide Florida telehealth services as registered out-of-state telehealth providers. Out-of-state telehealth registration permits eligible practitioners licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction to provide telehealth services to patients in Florida; it does not constitute a Florida professional license. For Florida telehealth provider information and verification, visit the Florida Department of Health.

What Is the First Appointment Like?

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

Your first appointment gives us an opportunity to understand what has been happening and what you would like to be different.

We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, relationships and supports, and the goals you have for treatment.

You can also ask questions and get a feel for your therapist’s style.

From there, you and your therapist will begin developing a plan together.

Insurance & Private Pay for Online Therapy in Florida

Insurance participation varies by therapist and plan. Coverage for behavioral health and telehealth services varies by insurance plan, so benefits should be verified before beginning treatment.

Private Pay

We also offer private-pay options for clients who prefer to pay directly for services.

Therapy is a partnership. You should understand what you’re working on, why you’re working on it, and how you’ll know whether it’s helping.

Florida Online Therapy FAQs

Do I have to live in a particular Florida city to see my therapist online?

No. Because sessions are provided virtually, eligible clients can access services throughout Florida. Your therapist must be authorized to provide services in Florida, and you generally need to be physically located in a jurisdiction where your therapist is authorized to practice at the time of the session.

Is online therapy private?

Sessions are provided through secure technology designed for telehealth. Your therapist will also discuss privacy, confidentiality, emergency procedures, and appropriate locations for participating in sessions.

Can children and teenagers participate in online therapy?

Yes. Telehealth can work well for many children and adolescents, although appropriateness depends on the child's age, needs, clinical presentation, environment, and ability to participate effectively. Parent or caregiver involvement may also be incorporated when clinically appropriate.

What if I’m not sure which therapist is the right fit?

That’s okay. You don’t have to figure it out yourself. Tell us a little about what you’re looking for, and we can help determine which Haven therapist may best match your needs.

Can my therapist see me while I'm traveling?

Your therapist needs to consider where you are physically located at the time of the appointment, because professional practice requirements can vary by jurisdiction. Let your therapist know before traveling so you can determine whether a session can legally occur from your destination.

Ready to Get Started?

You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy.

Maybe you know exactly what you want to work on. Maybe you only know that something isn’t working anymore.

Either is enough.

We’ll start with what’s happening now, work together to understand what may be contributing to it, and take the next steps from there.
